Still thinking

I've been letting thoughts about what to write about float through my mind and out of my ears. I find this easiest to do when walking my dog. Seemingly great ideas pass through the open harbour of my mind and off out of sight by the time I get home. I think about taking a notebook with me to capture these ships of thought but it never gets past a thought into an action.

A format that has moored up (to continue the boat metaphor): a diary charting a specific idea or challenge. What challenge? Hmm, no household rubbish for a month, journaling/reflection, exercise regime, lifestyle regime, work productivity, single tasking/simplifying, vegetable growing, dog training, relationships, etc.etc.

My favourites so far:
  • container veg growing (flat dweller in a challenging geographical position)
  • exercise regime (lots of outdoor space, dog, gym & spa about 100m from my front door)
  • journaling (got a daily habit, this could be the 'meta' weekly habit, reflection on reflection)
  • single tasking as a philosophy (guilt factor of never doing enough ruins my equilibrium)

And so the thoughts sail on.....

  1. don't get too hung up about an 'angle'. Write about what you're passionate about and what interests you. After all, it's you that you have to please and keep interested the most.

    Good luck!
